[3] Johnson and his family moved to Brussels, Belgium when he was in 8th grade, and Johnson graduated from the International School of Brussels in 1986. Johnson earned a bachelor's degree in Communications from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana in 1990. He started working for the station in 1984. He’s worked in several capacities for the news team beginning as an intern before getting a full time job as a general assignment reporter.
